Trade Finance Expert, Team Leader

We are looking for a skilled Trade Finance Professional to join us in Toijala, Akaa, Finland.

Key responsibilities

In this position, you act as a team leader, supporting daily operations and serving as the single point of contact for all trade finance matters across our global business. You ensure smooth communication and coordination to facilitate an efficient workflow and the timely resolution of operations, thereby serving as the key enabler of Elematic's international business and growth.

As a Trade Finance Expert, you oversee and contribute to trade finance operations, including letters of credit and guarantees. Your team along with yourself is also responsible for managing export consignments of various sizes, handling invoicing, and taking care of export- and import-related documentation.

You collaborate closely with international clients, banks, financial institutions, export credit agencies, and other export trade partners, and work in close cooperation with the Sales team and global partners

About you

You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or a related area, supplemented by extra coursework or certifications in trade finance. You also have at least five years of relevant experience and a strong understanding and proven hands-on experience of international trade finance and documentation (incl. Letters of Credit and guarantees). You are familiar with Incoterms, delivery and payment terms, as well as trade regulations.

You can thrive in a dynamic, global environment. You speak fluent English and Finnish; additional languages are an asset. You are flexible and determined in your work. You willingly address complex or demanding topics, engaging in open dialogue even when conversations are challenging.
